Welcome to our website!
The Youth Community Food initiative of the CS Mott Group was initiated to further the engagement of youth in all aspects of sustainable food systems and community food projects.
The YCF initiative goal is to support and enhance the capacity of school and community food projects across Michigan through technical assistance, networking, participatory research and outreach. By enabling better access to information, tools, and resources through networking, and peer-to-peer educational opportunities, the opportunity for knowledge, resource and skill sharing, and the capacity building of local initiatives is strengthened. REGISTER ONLINE HERE for the 2009 Community & School Gardener Networking Meeting on Saturday, November 7th at Eastern Michigan University's College of Business.
This is an opportunity to discuss the innovative community gardening work currently taking place around Michigan and Ohio and facilitate the development of communication and resource networks between groups. The day will include lunch, opportunities to learn, network and share experiences. Attendees are encouraged to bring photos, displays, or other ways to share about their gardens and their community. Come to share, come to learn.
